The Deterrent shown at Eastbourne International Film Festival

Film cannister

Last night was the screening of short film The Deterrent, for which I wrote the script, at Crossing The Screen, the Eastbourne International Film Festival, in the picturesque Hailsham Pavilion Cinema and Theatre. The Deterrent, directed by Justin Spray, was completed over a madcap 48 hours for the film making challenge set by Film Sussex. I went to the screening with lead actor John Locke, who was making a hat trick of appearances at the festival, with roles in films marking its opening and closing days. It was fabulous to see The Deterrent on the big screen less than two weeks after shooting it. We’re now looking at re-cutting the film for submission elsewhere.
